Who receives information

We disclose only what is reasonably necessary. Recipients may include EducareM trustees, staff and authorised consultants; venues and programme partners; website, email, booking, payment, accounting, IT and secure-storage providers acting for us; professional advisers; insurers; auditors; regulators; law-enforcement bodies; and safeguarding or emergency services where necessary.

We do not sell personal information. We do not provide it to other organisations for their own direct marketing.

International transfers

Some service providers may store or access information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum, together with appropriate safeguards. You may ask us for further information about the safeguards used.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Your right to objectYou have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to object at any time to the use of your personal information for direct marketing.

To exercise a right, email admin@educarem.org.uk. We will normally respond within one month and do not usually charge a fee. We may ask for proportionate proof of identity.

Other important information

You are not generally required by law to give us personal information. Information marked as required for a booking or contract is needed so that we can provide the service; without it, we may be unable to accept or fulfil the booking. EducareM does not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

If we receive your information from someone else, it will usually come from your school, trust, diocese, employer, programme partner or a publicly available professional source. We will provide privacy information within the timescale required by law.

Complaints about data protection

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113, or write to ICO, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels, scripts and embedded media. We use strictly necessary technologies to operate and secure the website. We use non-essential technologies only where the law permits or after you have made an appropriate choice.

Your choice matters. Rejecting optional cookies must be as easy as accepting them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Update cookie preferences control in the website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
Strictly necessary cookies

These support functions such as security, network management, accessibility, session management and recording your privacy choices. They do not require consent where they are genuinely necessary, but we still explain their purpose.

Analytics and performance

If enabled, these help us understand how the site is used. Consent is requested where required. Any statistics exception is used only when its legal conditions are met and a simple means of objecting is provided.

Embedded media and external services

Videos, maps, forms, social-media content and other third-party features may place or access cookies. Where consent is required, the content should remain blocked until you choose to enable it. The provider’s own privacy information also applies when you interact with that service.

Cookie names, providers, purposes and lifetimes can change when the website is updated. The live consent panel should contain the current cookie list generated from regular scans. You can also control cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may affect website functions.

Inclusive access

Accessibility statement

EducareM wants this website to be accessible to the widest possible audience. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA and to make reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010.

What you should be able to do

  • zoom up to at least 200% without losing essential content;
  • navigate most of the site using a keyboard;
  • use headings, meaningful links and alternative text to understand content;
  • change colours, contrast and text presentation using browser or assistive settings; and
  • use common screen readers and speech-recognition tools.

Known limitations

Some older PDF or Word documents, third-party embeds, videos without captions, and legacy pages may not fully meet current accessibility standards. We are reviewing older content and will prioritise material needed to access our services. Third-party content may be outside our direct control, but we will seek an accessible alternative where reasonably possible.

Alternative formats and feedback

If you need information in a different format, or find an accessibility problem, email admin@educarem.org.uk. Please tell us the page or document, the format you need and how best to contact you. We aim to acknowledge requests within five working days.

This statement was prepared on 22 September 2026. It should be reviewed after each material redesign and at least annually, using a combination of automated and manual checks.

Listening and learning

Complaints, concerns and safeguarding

We welcome feedback and take concerns seriously. In the first instance, please email admin@educarem.org.uk, explaining what happened, when it happened, the outcome you are seeking and any reasonable adjustments you require. We will direct the matter to an appropriate person and aim to acknowledge it within five working days.

If a concern relates to the conduct of a particular person, do not send it to that person directly. If it concerns immediate danger or a crime, contact the police or emergency services. Safeguarding concerns should be raised promptly in accordance with our safeguarding policy and, where appropriate, with the relevant local authority safeguarding service.

If your complaint concerns fundraising, you may be able to refer it to the Fundraising Regulator after completing EducareM’s complaints process. Concerns about charity governance or serious wrongdoing may fall within the Charity Commission’s remit. These routes do not replace emergency or safeguarding referrals.

Changes to this page: We may update this information when our services, suppliers or legal duties change. Material privacy changes will be highlighted where appropriate. The date at the top shows the latest review.
